Doing research in advance of the NWEI course Discovering a Sense of Place. As I am a visual person this has resulted in the Great Wheel of the Year for my home. It highlights natural events, celestial and otherwise, and natural harvest times. (Please note: there's a reason why February was known to many indigenous peoples as "Hunger Moon.")

Current Location:
Willamette Valley, Pacific Plate

which plants?

Which plants does the chart show?
It looks like: (outside in)
salal ?
berries (black/huckle/etc)
fiddlehead ferns (or is that peas?) / ? / ?

Which color corresponds to a particular salmon or steelhead trout run?

Where'd the picture come from?

filberts
blackberries & other berries
acorns - camas - fiddleheads

The fish runs are as counted in 2004 at Willamette Falls. Silver is winter steelhead, green is spring chinook, and pink is summer steelhead.

I actually built this a couple years ago, based on what I could find off the web regarding staple foods. Took me days and days. The original file is too large to put up.
